Ritesh Anand
Deputy CEO

Ritesh Anand is Deputy CEO and Executive Vice President of Crown Agents Investment Management. Prior to this he was the Founder and Managing Director of Invictus Capital, a boutique financial services platform providing securities trading, corporate advisory, and asset management services focussed on Sub-Sahara Africa. Prior to this he spent eight years in various roles at the Wellcome Trust, the world’s leading private medical endowment, with assets of over $25billion. Ritesh joined Wellcome as an Investment Officer in 2002 before being promoted to Senior Investment Officer in 2004 responsible for global listed equities. He was then appointed Head of Risk and Performance a position he held for two years before becoming the Head of Africa and the Middle East. Ritesh has extensive experience in fund management in developed and emerging markets. Ritesh holds a BSc.(Hons) in Economics from the University of Warwick and an MSc. Strategic Management from the University of Derby.

Neil Michael
Chief Investment Strategist & Head of Multi-Asset Investments

Neil is the Chief Investment Strategist and Head of Multi-Asset Investments for Crown Agents Investment Management, responsible for macroeconomic and market analysis, multi-asset portfolio management, and the design, management and communication of investment strategies. He has over twenty years’ experience in strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies, macroeconomic and market analysis, portfolio management and modelling, risk management, manager selection, relationship management and investment communication. Previously, he was the Executive Director of Investment Strategies at London & Capital Asset Management. Prior to this, he was a Portfolio Manager at West End Capital Management in Bermuda, where he managed money for Warren Buffet in a multi-strategy fund. Before this, he was a Portfolio Manager and Asset Allocation Strategist at Gulf International Bank. Neil has also worked for Baring Securities as a Quantitative Portfolio Analyst.

Robin Woodall
Senior Fund Manager

Robin has over 25 years experience in fund management. He previously worked at the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme, one of the largest pension schemes in the UK where he became head of UK equities before the Scheme merged, in 1996, with Foreign & Colonial Management which he joined as a director, managing a wide range of equity and multi-asset funds. During the following decade, F&C increased assets under management from £25bn to £100bn. Robin has been a member of the Primary Markets Group of the London Stock Exchange, a non-executive director of a fully listed plc and as a founder shareholder, helped to establish a climate change fund investing in low carbon technology. He has a degree from Cambridge University, completed investment management programme at the London Business School and is a member of the CFA society of the UK.

Simon Price
Senior Fund Manager

Simon currently manages a number of portfolios, focusing on fundamental analysis for asset allocation and stock selection . He enjoys building client relationships via effective portfolio management and client contacts including client/trustee meetings . He is always available to clients to help them develop in-house capability and capacity in capital markets. Simon joined CAIM in 2000 and for the previous six years he worked for Barclays in the Stockbrokers and Private Client divisions. Simon holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance as well as industry qualifications including the IIMR Investment Management Certificate and The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment Diploma.

Charles Thomson
Senior Fund Manager

Charles manages some of the most important global bond portfolios of CAIM clients through active management of duration and yield curve exposures and relative value analysis within OECD sovereign bond markets. Having graduated with a degree in mathematics from Cambridge University, Charles began his career at Barclays Global Investors – specialising in the management of global bond portfolios. He has extensive experience of managing both low risk central bank reserve portfolios and longer duration pension fund fixed income allocations. After spending nine years with Barclays Global Investors, Charles then spent seven years managing central bank, insurance company and pension fund portfolios for Middle Eastern institutional clients at Gulf International Bank.

Slawomir Soroczynski
Senior Fund Manager

Slawek has extensive trading experience in fixed income, foreign exchange and derivative products. He worked for Commerzbank for six years as a senior local currency bond trader focusing in particular on Central Eastern Europe. Prior to joining Commerzbank, he was chief dealer at Bank Przemyslowo-Handlowy in Krakow, Poland, with responsibility for all treasury trading operations. Slawek lectured on financial markets and instruments at the Academy of Economics, Krakow, and is co-author of two books on the Polish financial markets.
